Downtown Line Free MRT Rides For 11 Days, 22 Dec - 1 Jan

There’s going to be free MRT rides on the Downtown Line! Yes, free MRT rides!

LTA is offering free rides for all train trips between the 6 Downtown Line stations, at any time of the day, from 22 December 2013 to 1 January 2014.

Remember that it’s only free travel when you enter AND exit through any of the 6 #DTL stations – Chinatown, Telok Ayer, Downtown, Bayfront, Promenade and Bugis.

If you’re transferring from an interchange station that connects to the North East (NEL), East-West and Circle Line (CCL), here’s something you’ll need to note. You have to tap out of the existing station and tap back in to a DTL1 station to enjoy the free travel.
